Consistent scene style means that separate Veo clips feel as if they belong to one production: the colour family, lighting, texture, subject design, and camera behaviour remain recognisably related even when the action and location change. Veo does not remember an earlier text prompt automatically, so continuity must be designed into every request.

By the end, you will have a personal style bible, a reusable locked style block, four complete shot prompts, and a consistency contact sheet. You will also know when a reference image or seed can help—and why neither replaces precise repeated descriptions.

Build a Style Bible Before You Generate

A prompt needs more than “cinematic.” Google’s official guide separates direction into subject, action, context, camera, and visual aesthetics. Turn the reusable parts into a style bible.

This sample bible is for a hypothetical, unbranded chai-film exercise. The turquoise kettle is a fictional prop, not a real product.

Use visible, scoreable descriptors. “Premium” is vague; “muted turquoise enamel with a worn rim” is inspectable.

Separate Locked Tokens From Scene Variables

Write each request as two blocks. The scene block changes; the style block is pasted without synonyms, reordered phrases, or fresh adjectives. This is a production convention, not special Veo syntax.

For a recurring person or product, use the same authorised reference when your current Veo surface supports references or Flow “ingredients.” Google documents reference guidance for supported Veo 3.1 models, but Flow support varies by model. Country, account, and subscription access can differ; confirm the current model page before promising delivery.

A seed helps controlled reruns only where the interface or API exposes it. The same seed plus unchanged prompt can guide repeatability on supported Vertex workflows; it does not create memory across different scenes. Record it if available, but use repeated descriptions, references, and review for continuity. Do not assume Flow exposes the same control.

Generate Cheap Tests and Score the Contact Sheet

In Flow, open one project, choose Video, then confirm the current model, aspect ratio, length, output count, and displayed credit cost. Start with one output and the lowest practical draft choice available. These controls can change.

Generate an anchor shot first. Save its exact prompt and, where supported, a clean frame as an ingredient or start frame. Then change only scene variables and score a contact sheet.

Score 2 for a match, 1 for editably close, and 0 for a break. Reject a hero score of 0, or two other zeroes.

Use prompt sheet → one anchor → one-variable corrections → final settings for approved shots. Verify current quota, credits, access, and output options. With no Veo access, practise using still storyboards or owned footage rather than assuming a free allowance.

Keep prompts, thumbnails, and the contact-sheet CSV locally. During load-shedding or weak Pakistani mobile data, compare prompts offline and queue final generations when power and broadband are stable. Review the lowest practical draft on an ordinary Android phone before spending credits or bandwidth on a final export.

USD credits add up in PKR, and Pakistani cards may not work with every service. Verify current regional access, payment method, credit cost, and taxes inside the intended account before quoting. Cap included generations. If access fails, deliver the bible, storyboard, and prompt pack, or shoot phone inserts.

A generated Lahore rooftop, Karachi counter, or northern guesthouse is not documentary footage. Avoid names, plates, phone numbers, faces, and private property without permission. Disclose synthetic scenes that could be mistaken for real places or events.

Choose an authorised recurring subject and record five visible identity attributes.
Lock palette, lighting, texture, camera grammar, lens language, mood, and exclusions in a 70–120-word style block.
Design anchor, detail, action, and closing scene blocks, each with one camera movement.
Paste the locked block unchanged under all four; remove accidental synonyms.
Confirm current model, quota, ratio, and reference options; record a seed only if exposed.
Generate the anchor and two more clips, or create four storyboards honestly marked pending.
Score each clip, make one targeted correction per rejection, and save prompt versions.
Add a disclosure decision: destination, whether the scene is realistic, and the current platform control you will use.
