A useful faceless-video pitch does not begin with “I make AI videos.” It begins with one need the business owner can verify: a service that is hard to explain, a product that needs a clearer demonstration, or a repeated customer question that could become a short video.
By the end, you will have two tiny spec samples, a one-page concept, and one personalized pitch that offers a paid discovery step. You will not promise results, impersonate a customer, or complete a free campaign before the business agrees to work with you.

Find One Visible Need Without Pretending to Audit
Research only material the business published: its website, social posts, Google Business Profile, marketplace listing, or menu. A WhatsApp button permits contact, not scraping or repeated promotions.
“Your last three public posts use still product photos” is observable. “Your content is failing” is not. Never imply access to analytics or customer data.
| Record | Acceptable note | Not acceptable |
|---|---|---|
| Public offer | “Custom cake boxes appear on the menu” | “This is your most profitable item” |
| Visible format | “Recent posts are still images” | “Video will double engagement” |
| Customer question | One the owner confirms | One invented from a private chat |
| Contact route | Published business channel | A staff member’s private number |
| Creative asset | Owned or licensed media | Downloaded logos, music, or faces |
Use AI to organize observations:
You are helping me prepare a respectful video-service pitch.
Target type: Lahore home bakery
Public observations:
- The public menu offers custom birthday boxes.
- The Instagram profile links to a public WhatsApp Business contact.
- Recent public posts I reviewed are still product photos.
Task:
1. Separate observations from assumptions.
2. Suggest three short-video needs that follow only from the observations.
3. For each, propose one 8–12 second concept using only generic footage,
placeholder text, and no client logo, customer face, testimonial, or sales claim.
4. Mark every assumption as "confirm with owner".
Do not invent performance data, customer behaviour, prices, permissions, or results.Choose a need narrow enough to show in seconds. “Improve social media” is vague; “show the three-step custom-box order process” is usable.

Make Two Tiny Spec Samples With a Clear Boundary
A spec sample proves craft; it is not a free project. Make two variations, such as an 8-second motion-board and a 12-second rough cut. Use owned, licensed, generated, or placeholder media. Add UNSOLICITED CONCEPT — NOT COMMISSIONED and do not publish it as client work.
| Include in a spec sample | Hold for paid work |
|---|---|
| One hook; 8–12 seconds | Full campaign or several exports |
| Generic or licensed assets | Client marks or private footage |
| Watermarked viewing link | Source files or usage rights |
Attach a one-page concept:
# Video concept: [working title]
Business need observed: [one public, factual observation]
Proposed viewer: [mark "confirm with owner" if not supplied]
Single message: [one sentence]
Format: [for example, 9:16 vertical, 12-second concept]
Beat 1 — 0:00–0:03: [visual + on-screen words]
Beat 2 — 0:03–0:08: [visual + on-screen words]
Beat 3 — 0:08–0:12: [visual + proposed call to action]
Assets used: [owned / licensed / generated / placeholder]
Permission needed before production: [logo / product footage / price / voice / claim]
Not claimed: [sales, reach, conversion, customer response]
Paid discovery deliverable: [brief + script + shot list]If a sample needs private assets or a person’s face or voice, send only the concept and request permission.

Turn the Sample Into a Small Paid Next Step
Use visible need → sample link → small offer. Personalization must explain why the concept fits this business, not just insert the owner’s name.
Before quoting production, ask:
- Which product or service should the video explain?
- Who should act after watching, and what should they do?
- Which claims, prices, logos, footage, music, faces, and voices are approved?
- Where will the video run, and in which language?
- Who approves the script and final export?
- What are the deadline, revision limit, usage rights, and payment method?
Offer fixed paid discovery: one 30-minute call, a brief, one script, and a shot list for an agreed fee and date. Quote production after approval.
Send one direct message and one follow-up after three to five business days; then stop. For a walk-in, avoid busy hours, ask who handles marketing, and leave a short link without demanding a viewing. On marketplaces, keep pre-contract contact and payment on-platform; check current rules.
// worked_example
Worked Example
This hypothetical uses a fictional Lahore home bakery; no results are claimed. Its public menu lists birthday boxes, its profile has a business WhatsApp link, and recent posts are still images. The freelancer uses owned generic footage, without client marks, prices, or data.
The prompt suggests three needs. The freelancer selects “explain the custom-box order sequence,” then creates an 8-second silent motion-board and a 12-second licensed-music rough cut. Both are watermarked as unsolicited concepts.
Sample one-page concept:
# Video concept: Three Choices, One Gift Box
Business need observed: custom birthday boxes are publicly offered.
Proposed viewer: gift buyer in Lahore — confirm with owner.
Single message: choose a box, add a note, confirm delivery details.
Format: 9:16 vertical, 12-second concept.
0:00–0:03 — close-up of plain box; text: “Pick your box”
0:03–0:08 — ribbon and blank card; text: “Add a message”
0:08–0:12 — closed generic box; text: “Confirm details on WhatsApp”
Assets: freelancer-owned generic footage; no client marks.
Permission needed: final wording, logo, real products, price, WhatsApp CTA.
Not claimed: delivery coverage, response time, sales or engagement.
Paid discovery: 30-minute call + approved brief + script + shot list.Bad first draft: “I audited your page; your videos underperform. My AI videos will grow sales. I made a free ad—shall I post it?” The audit and outcome are invented, the free work is oversized, and publication lacks permission.
Fixed sample WhatsApp pitch:
Assalam-o-alaikum. I saw on your public menu that you offer custom birthday
boxes. I made two small, watermarked concept previews showing how the ordering
steps could fit into a 12-second faceless video: [view-only link]. These are
unsolicited concepts, not commissioned ads, and I have not used your logo,
product photos, prices, or customer material.
If the direction is useful, I can offer a paid discovery step: one 30-minute
call, then an approved brief, script, and shot list before production is quoted.
Would you like the one-page scope? If not, no problem—I will not follow up again. One follow-up is enough: “Assalam-o-alaikum—closing the loop on Tuesday’s birthday-box concept. If video is not a priority, no reply is needed and I will close this here.”

Failure Cases to Diagnose
7 cases to diagnose
Fake audit language
“Your reach is low” lacks owner-provided analytics. Use a visible observation.
Mass-pitch fingerprints
the message fits any industry. Name one offer and relevant video use.
Spec work has become a free project
you are making finished edits, variants, or source files. Stop at two tiny watermarked samples and sell discovery.
Unauthorized brand use
the preview uses a logo, face, review, music, or price without approval. Use placeholders.
Outcome promises
“This will increase sales” presents a hypothesis as fact. Offer a test.
Quote before qualification
the price appears before format, deadline, rights, revisions, and approvals are known. Ask the six questions first.
Follow-up becomes harassment
messages continue after silence or refusal. Record “do not contact” and stop.
// pakistan_angle
Pakistan Angle
WhatsApp is often a Pakistani small business’s front desk, but a visible number is not permission for bulk messages. Identify yourself, use a lightweight preview, and make refusal easy. Never collect numbers from groups or paste private chats, phone numbers, or CNIC images into AI. Ask a mutual contact to make a referral introduction.
At a Lahore shop or Karachi clinic, avoid rush hours and ask who handles marketing. Share a compressed 720p watermarked preview over mobile data; keep the final export until scope and payment are agreed. Confirm Urdu or Roman-Urdu spelling aloud instead of assuming one city’s register fits another.
Quote in PKR and record the deposit or milestone, revisions, rights, and delivery condition. Ask whether the client prefers bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash, or Easypaisa; verify current provider requirements. Never request a PIN, OTP, or unnecessary CNIC image. Confirm tax treatment with a qualified local adviser.

Select one visible need and run the research prompt. Reject any invented diagnosis.
Build two 8–12 second, watermarked spec samples using only owned, licensed, generated, or placeholder assets.
Complete the one-page concept, including permissions needed and outcomes not claimed.
Write a personalized pitch with the three-part structure and a fixed paid-discovery offer.
Prepare one follow-up dated three to five business days later, plus a “stop” status for no reply or refusal.

Your work shows this failure mode: “Fake audit language.” The lesson describes it like this: ““Your reach is low” lacks owner-provided analytics.” What does the lesson tell you to do about it?
