Course outline

Repurposing means preserving one sourced idea while rebuilding it for four different viewing behaviours. A short-video viewer needs an immediate demonstration; a carousel reader needs a sequence; a text-post reader needs an argument; a story viewer needs one action per frame. Uploading the same file four times is cross-posting, not repurposing.

By the end, you will have a source card and four publishable, platform-native assets: a short video, carousel, text post, and story sequence. Each will deliver standalone value, ask for a different audience action, and remain traceable to the same verified claim.

// concept

Lock the Source Idea Before You Split It

Start with the strongest version of the idea: the version with the clearest evidence and explanation. Extract a claim card before asking AI to write anything.

Claim-card fieldWhat to record
Central claimOne narrow sentence the source supports
SourceOfficial link, document title, section/page, and access date
Safe paraphraseMeaning you may preserve in simpler words
Prohibited expansionWhat the source does not establish
Audience problemWhy this claim is useful now
Source assetThe full script, article, or research note being repurposed

FBR's Active Taxpayer List (ATL) page publishes ways to check ATL status, including an online portal and an SMS format for individuals. A safe claim is: “Use FBR's current official instructions to check ATL status.” It does not prove that someone has filed every obligation or owes no tax. That boundary must survive every version.

// concept

Give Each Platform a Different Job

Choose platforms where you have a relevant audience. Assign each asset one viewing mode and action.

Platform and native expressionWhat it should doAudience action
TikTok short videoDemonstrate with speech, labels, and captionsFind the official check
Instagram carouselMake a one-step-per-panel referenceSave the checklist
LinkedIn text postExplain the evidence boundaryName one confusing label
WhatsApp Status storyGive one action per phone-readable frameCheck status privately

This prevents the “thin split”: four teasers that withhold the method. Each asset must stand alone; comprehension cannot depend on a click.

Use this native-formatting checklist before export:

  • Short video: show the official page early; write for speech; add reviewed captions; hide private details.
  • Carousel/graphic: one step per panel, phone-readable type, and a useful final recap.
  • Text post: lead with the claim, use spacing, state the source boundary, and ask a specific question.
  • Story/thread: one numbered action per frame, enough context for late arrivals, and a safe final step.

Platform controls change. Check the current official help page if a button or media option differs.

Prompt for Four Native Drafts

Paste the complete source script, not only its topic.

// prompt — copy me23 lines
You are repurposing a verified source script into four native assets.

CLAIM: [one sentence]
SOURCE: [official URL + section + access date]
SAFE PARAPHRASE: [allowed simplification]
DO NOT CLAIM: [unsupported conclusion]
AUDIENCE: [specific people]

<source_script>
[paste the strongest complete version]
</source_script>

Create:
1. TikTok script: speech, shot/text, caption, action.
2. Instagram carousel: cover, every panel, caption.
3. LinkedIn text post: publish-ready body and question.
4. WhatsApp Status: every numbered frame.

Requirements:
- Preserve the claim and boundary; write no teaser-only asset.
- Change structure for the viewing mode, not just length.
- Use no real CNIC/NTN; predict no reach, savings, engagement, or tax outcome.
- Return a four-row source map.

If an AI tool or free tier is unavailable, draft manually under the same four headings.

Sequence the Rollout as a Learning Loop

“Fast platform” is the channel where your own log shows useful feedback arrives soonest—not one favoured by an alleged algorithm. Publish there first. Check questions, sourced corrections, and whether people can repeat the method; views alone prove little. Fix clarity before the next release. Keep the claim fixed and test one hook, order, or action at a time.

// worked_example

Worked Example

This labelled sample is for a fictional Pakistani freelancer-education creator. FBR's ATL page currently explains online and SMS checks; the creator must verify the instructions on that official page again on publication day. ATL status is not a complete tax-compliance assessment.

Source script pasted into the prompt:

// prompt — copy me4 lines
FBR's current ATL guidance offers an online portal and an SMS check for an individual's
status. The published SMS format is ATL, a space, then the 13-digit CNIC sent to 9966.
Confirm this on FBR's official page before publishing. Never paste a real CNIC into an
AI prompt, demo, public post, or screen recording. ATL status alone is not complete tax advice.

Here are the four actual sample outputs produced from that script.

1. TikTok short-video sample

// prompt — copy me6 lines
SHOT: Screen recording opens on FBR's ATL guidance; no form is filled.
SPOKEN: “ATL status check karni hai? Start from FBR's official instructions.”
TEXT: Option 1 Online portal | Option 2 SMS: ATL [space] your 13-digit CNIC → 9966
SPOKEN: “Verify the current method on FBR before using it. Never show your CNIC in a demo.”
END: “Check privately on the official page.”
CAPTION: ATL status-check routes. Verify current instructions at FBR.gov.pk.

2. Instagram carousel sample

// prompt — copy me7 lines
Panel 1: Need to check ATL status? Use FBR's official route
Panel 2: Option 1 — open FBR's online verification portal
Panel 3: Option 2 — FBR currently lists SMS for individuals
Panel 4: Format — ATL [space] 13-digit CNIC → 9966
Panel 5: Privacy — never post, record, or paste your CNIC into AI
Panel 6: Boundary — ATL status is not a full tax-compliance assessment
Caption: Save the route, not your CNIC. Verify the current method at FBR.gov.pk before use.

3. LinkedIn text-post sample

// prompt — copy me6 lines
FBR's ATL page currently publishes an online verification route and an SMS format for
individuals: ATL, a space, then the 13-digit CNIC to 9966.

That supports a status-check tutorial—not a claim that ATL status settles every tax
question. Verify the method on FBR before using it, and never expose a CNIC in a demo.
Which step on the official page needs a clearer explanation?

4. WhatsApp Status sample

// prompt — copy me4 lines
1/4 ATL status check? Start at FBR.gov.pk—not a forwarded link.
2/4 Use the official online portal, or check FBR's current SMS instructions.
3/4 FBR currently lists: ATL [space] 13-digit CNIC → 9966. Verify before use.
4/4 Keep your CNIC private. ATL status is not complete tax advice.

The bad draft was four slogans: “Check your ATL,” “Know your status,” “Verify now,” and “Be tax smart.” It withheld the official route, privacy warning, and boundary. The fix was four complete deliveries: demonstration, swipe reference, evidence argument, and action frames.

The sample creator releases WhatsApp Status first only if their log identifies it as the quickest feedback source. Carousel, video, and LinkedIn follow after clarity edits. This is a test plan, not a performance claim.

// failure_cases

Failure Cases to Diagnose

6 cases to diagnose

  • Four shortened copies

    Same hook and order everywhere. Rebuild around each viewing mode and action.

  • Thin split

    Assets force a click for the method. Put the complete method in each.

  • Claim drift

    “Check ATL status” becomes “fully tax compliant.” Restore the boundary.

  • Privacy leak

    A screen recording exposes a CNIC/NTN. Use empty or fictional fields.

  • Wrong native behaviour

    A carousel is prose screenshots or video opens on a logo. Rebuild its opening.

  • Broken captions

    AI damages a field name or Roman Urdu. Review with sound and muted.

// pakistan_angle

Pakistan Angle

In Pakistan, a CNIC is not demo material. Do not ask followers to comment it, send it in a group, or paste it into an AI tool. Direct viewers to FBR's own domain, because copied screenshots and forwarded WhatsApp instructions can go stale. Freelancers needing advice beyond ATL status should use FBR's official help routes or a qualified tax professional.

Keep official labels such as “Active Taxpayer List” and “CNIC” in English, then explain naturally in Roman Urdu. Prepare scripts and compressed panels offline during load-shedding; reconnect to verify FBR's current instructions and upload. WhatsApp Status must remain legible on a low-cost Android phone without audio.
